For merchants more seriously impacted by Hurricane Sandy we are making outbound phone calls and we know you are overwhelmed dealing with the aftermath. Our desire is to help you get your business up and running, but more importantly, it is to help you get back to your “normal” life. If you unfortunately find yourself in in difficult situation, contact us and we will attempt to provide what help we can. Relief efforts always have the same obstacle… the immediate problem really isn’t a lack of resources, it’s logistics – getting available resources to the people who need them.
It is standard industry practice to charge a monthly minimum fee to cover costs associated with maintaining a merchant account, even if you aren’t processing. We have taken the initiative to waive those fees for the businesses we have identified as most heavily impacted by Sandy.
For our merchants not impacted by Hurricane Sandy, you can help by donating to relief efforts. But please be cautious… unfortunately disasters bring out the criminals who seek to profit from your good intentions.
